OHIO + WEST VIRGINIA AFTER-THE-SHOT SUPPORT

Thermal drone
deer recovery.

Lost the blood trail? KRYX uses professional thermal and zoom aerial equipment to search difficult terrain efficiently and help you make the next recovery decision.

Fast regional response

Don’t let the trail run cold.

Rain, darkness, sparse blood, steep ground, and thick cover can stop a ground track. A systematic thermal drone search can cover priority terrain quickly while reducing unnecessary foot traffic through the recovery area.

KRYX Drone Intelligence is operated by Luke Kramer, an FAA Part 107 remote pilot using an enterprise thermal and high-zoom platform. Deer recovery is offered only where legal: Ohio and West Virginia.

Located in Western Pennsylvania within quick reach of both borders, KRYX primarily serves eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia, including areas near Columbiana, Mahoning, Trumbull, Jefferson, Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall, Monongalia, and surrounding counties.

01

Stop and preserve the area

Mark the shot location and last blood, then avoid pushing farther into likely bedding or recovery cover.

02

Call with the hunt details

Share your pin, shot time, deer reaction, direction of travel, sign, terrain, and property boundaries.

03

Review legality and flight conditions

KRYX confirms state requirements, land access, airspace, weather, visibility, and the mission plan before launch.

04

Search with thermal and zoom

Priority terrain is searched systematically, and suspected targets are checked with visual zoom before location information is provided.

Thermal recovery questions

What to know before you call.

How soon should I call after losing the blood trail?

Call as soon as you believe professional help may be needed. Have the shot time, exact location, last blood, observed reaction, and direction of travel ready.

Can a thermal drone see through trees?

Thermal imaging does not see through solid objects or dense canopy. Openings, field edges, thinner cover, terrain angles, and systematic search patterns can still make aerial thermal search valuable.

Does KRYX guarantee a recovery?

No responsible operator can guarantee a find. Weather, canopy, terrain, animal movement, elapsed time, access, and flight restrictions all affect the search.

Where does KRYX offer deer recovery?

KRYX offers lawful after-the-shot drone deer recovery in Ohio and West Virginia only, with fast response focused on eastern Ohio and northern West Virginia.
